How do I take care of my jewellery?
Mountain & Moon jewellery is crafted to premium standards using high quality gold micron plating on certified ethical brass and 925 sterling silver, and features a curated selection of natural gemstones, glass stones, and freshwater pearls.
Our pieces are made to last. To protect the longevity of your jewellery:
- Gently wipe with a soft polishing cloth after each wear
- Store in a dry place, away from abrasive surfaces and direct sunlight
- Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, perfume, moisturisers, and hairspray
- Avoid getting plated pieces wet
- Remove jewellery before applying makeup or skincare

What to Avoid
- Remove jewellery before showering, swimming in the ocean, or entering a pool
- Avoid contact with perfume, moisturisers, lotions, hairspray, and sunscreen — do not spray perfume directly onto or near your jewellery
- Apply all cosmetics and hair products before putting on your jewellery, with clean dry hands
- Avoid knocking jewellery against hard surfaces or other pieces — this can cause scratching and chipping
- Store each piece individually and pack with care when travelling
Gold plated metals will experience some natural tarnishing with wear. Correct cleaning and storage will significantly minimise this. All metals oxidise naturally over time and will require periodic maintenance — this is a natural characteristic of precious metals, not a fault.
Cleaning
After each wear, lightly wipe your jewellery with a polishing cloth to remove any residue or chemicals from the surface. Gentle polishing will restore shine and help prevent tarnishing.
- Do not over-polish plated pieces — excessive polishing can wear away the plating over time
- Wash your hands after using a jewellery cloth, as they contain cleaning chemicals
- Avoid contact with perfume, moisturisers, hairspray, and sunscreen — these are the primary cause of tarnishing
Tarnishing resulting from chemical exposure is not considered a manufacturing fault and is not covered under our warranty.
Gemstones
Gemstones are delicate by nature and can chip or shatter upon impact with hard surfaces — please handle and store your pieces with care.

DELIVERY INFORMATION
Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by weekends, holidays, customs delays, and promotional periods. Shipping rates and delivery windows may change during sales. Mountain & Moon is not liable for delays beyond our control.
ORDER PROCESSING
Orders placed before 1:00pm AWST (Mon–Fri) are usually shipped the same day. Please allow up to 2 business days for processing. Orders placed after 1:00pm Friday will ship on Monday.
Changes or cancellations generally cannot be made after an order is placed.

INTERNATIONAL Shipping
Shipped via your country's local postal service with tracking and signature on delivery. Please allow up to 2 business days for processing. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout and varies by location.
Please note: USA orders are shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) — all duties and taxes are included at checkout with no additional charges on delivery.
IMPORT DUTIES & TAXES
Duties and taxes are not included at checkout and may be charged upon delivery, depending on your country's regulations. These fees are the recipient's responsibility.
If delivery is refused due to unpaid duties or taxes, return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund, including the original and return freight charges.
Exception: USA orders are shipped DDP — duties and taxes are included at checkout.
Order INFO & tracking
A confirmation email will be sent after purchase — check your junk folder if it doesn't arrive. Once shipped, your tracking number will be sent via email. If you haven't received it within 3 business days, contact hello@mountainandmoon.com.au.
Mountain & Moon is not responsible for lost parcels, incorrect addresses entered at checkout, or missed and unclaimed deliveries. Please check your details carefully before placing your order.
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Returns
RETURNS POLICY
Full priced items are eligible for a full refund, exchange, or store credit if returned within 14 days of receipt. Shipping charges are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Sale and promotional items are final sale and are not eligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit.
Earrings and hair clips cannot be returned or exchanged for health and safety reasons. No exceptions can be made.
Tarnishing and general wear and tear are not considered manufacturing faults and are not covered under our returns policy. Please refer to our Care Guide for guidance on maintaining your piece.
