Boutique & Operations Manager
Part-Time · Perth, WA
Location: Perth (in-office)
Hours: Part-time, 32 hours per week averaged across a fortnightly roster.
Mountain & Moon is a growing Australian jewellery label known for bold statement pieces and strong visual storytelling. Our Perth office is home to both our team workspace and our boutique retail experience, where customers can discover the brand in person.
We’re looking for a Boutique & Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day boutique experience while supporting the operational side of the business including order fulfilment, inventory organisation and customer service. The role also includes hands-on PR support, primarily influencer gifting and outreach.
This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career who is organised, reliable and genuinely enjoys a mix of customer-facing and behind-the-scenes work.
The Role
You’ll be the heartbeat of the boutique, keeping it running beautifully day to day while supporting the wider team with fulfilment, customer communications and PR execution. You’ll work closely with the founders and a small, tight-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Boutique Operations & Customer Experience
- Open and close the boutique and manage the retail floor
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable customer service and in-store styling support
- Maintain visual merchandising and refresh boutique presentation regularly
- Process in-store sales through POS
- Support in-store events and styling moments when required
- Ensure the boutique consistently reflects the Mountain & Moon brand experience
Order Fulfilment & Inventory
- Pick and pack daily online and wholesale orders
- Manage returns and exchanges
- Replenish boutique stock and assist with inventory accuracy
- Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain stockroom systems
- Receive incoming stock deliveries
- Support stock preparation during major launch and sale periods
- Order and maintain packaging and fulfilment supplies
Customer Support
- Respond to customer enquiries across email, phone and social DMs
- Assist customers with order queries, returns and product questions
- Ensure prompt, friendly and professional communication at all times
Operational & Marketing Support
- Assist with SMS marketing campaigns and boutique communications
- Support the development of our customer loyalty program
- Provide product feedback and stock insights to the wider team
- Help keep the boutique, stockroom and workspace organised and running smoothly
PR & Influencer Support
- Prepare and send influencer gifting
- Maintain the PR contact database
- Track gifting, responses and placements
- Assist with outreach coordination and campaign seeding
About You
You don’t need years of experience but you do need to be the kind of person who takes pride in doing things properly and showing up consistently.
You’re likely someone who:
- Has experience in retail, customer service or a similar customer-facing role
- Is highly organised and detail-oriented
- Enjoys both customer interaction and operational, behind-the-scenes tasks
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Takes ownership of their responsibilities without needing to be micromanaged
- Has a genuine interest in fashion, jewellery or lifestyle brands
