Condition of Returns Items must be returned in their original condition, unworn and in original packaging. Mountain & Moon reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements.
Tarnishing & Wear Tarnishing is not considered a manufacturing fault. Our jewellery is crafted to last with proper care; however, exposure to chemicals, moisture, and prolonged wear in water will accelerate tarnishing. Please refer to our Care Guide for guidance on maintaining your piece.

FAULTY ITEMS
Every Mountain & Moon piece is quality checked before dispatch. However, if you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please refer to our 6 Month Warranty process above.
What Is Not Considered a Fault
We are unable to accept returns or warranty claims for the following:
- Tarnishing — exposure to chemicals including perfume, moisturisers, hair products, and skincare will accelerate tarnishing and is not a manufacturing fault
- Oxidisation — our jewellery is handcrafted from precious metals that naturally oxidise over time; this is an inherent characteristic of the material
- Wear & tear — general deterioration through normal use is not considered a defect
- Stone loss or breakage — damage resulting from mishandling, impact, or dropping is not a manufacturing fault
- Improper care — items that show signs of not being cared for in accordance with our Care Guide instructions will not be accepted for return
Care Guidance To maintain the beauty of your jewellery, we recommend cleaning each piece with a polishing cloth after every wear and storing it away from moisture and chemicals. Please refer to our [Care Guide] for full instructions specific to your piece.
VARIANCE IN JEWELLERY
Our jewellery is handcrafted by artisans in India. Each piece carries its own individual characteristics — subtle variations in metal, crystals, and stones are an inherent part of the handmade process and contribute to the uniqueness of your piece.
While every item is equally beautiful, it may vary slightly from the photographs shown on our website. This is not considered a fault and we are unable to accept exchanges based on natural variation in materials.
If you have any concerns about your piece, please reach out to us at hello@mountainandmoon.com.au and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
THIRD PARTY PURCHASES
If you purchased your Mountain & Moon piece through a third-party stockist or retailer, please contact them directly for any return, exchange, or warranty enquiries. Their individual return policies will apply and Mountain & Moon is unable to process returns or refunds for items purchased outside of our own channels.
